Dragon Soul's Characters

Hello, I'm moving my characters over from the OC Roleplay Forum. Some of my characters may have some slight edits made, just so you're aware.

Name: Dusk Hammer

Race: Unicorn

Age: 27

Mane: Burnt Orange, kept in a short mohawk. His tail is also kept short

Coat: Dark Violet

Cutie mark.: An iron hammer surrounded by fire.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: He has navy blue eyes.

Distinguishing Features: He's bigger and stronger than most ponies, about the size of Big Mac. He also has a set of scars on his right shoulder from when a timberwolf got too close and scratched him.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Again, much stronger than an average pony. A good tolerance to high temperatures from working at a forge. Very attentive when listening to other ponies, and has taught himself how to read ponies, although he knows it isn't 100 percent accurate. Most proficient with his sword, especially with a shield, but he can use other weapons effectively. He can use his telekinesis at the same strength as if he was physically manipulating something.

Weaknesses: He's known to overwork himself to the point of exhaustion, and he won't let anypony try to stop him. In other words, he's stubborn and bull-headed. When he's caged up in some way and can't get out, he becomes depressed to the point where he's lethargic and often won't do anything. Dusk Hammer lacks the power to learn more complicated spells, even though he has the intelligence.

Occupation: Former military blacksmith, now a civilian blacksmith.

Gear: He keeps his sword from the military in case he has to fight. Also, any weapon he makes in his shop. Common weapons are his sword, a war hammer and a halberd

History: Born and raised in Trottingham, he decided to try being an apprentice for a local blacksmith to earn his cutie mark. He received it after successfully forging his first sword and finding that this was what he wanted to do. He joined the Royal Guard as soon as he finished school and became a military blacksmith. He also was trained to be a soldier at his request. During his final test he was jumped by a timberwolf, giving him the scars on his right shoulder. After serving for eight years, he decided to go back to civilian life. His parents still live in Trottingham, along with his two little brothers and his little sister. He lives in Trottingham too, right above his workshop about a few blocks from his parent's home.

Personality: He acts rough around other stallions, but becomes somewhat gentlecoltly around pretty mares. He's confident in his abilities and proud of his achievements, but he's not prideful. Although he does have a strong sense of independence, so being able to take care of himself is very important for him. He has a serious personality. He also has a very strong sense of right and wrong and is often selfless. He does become annoyed rather easily, especially around someone who's bright and bubbly.

Current Home: Trottingham

Misc: He has sworn to himself to never "do it" with any mares until after he's married. Colt-cuddlers get a single warning.

Name: Torchlight

Race: Unicorn

Age: 24

Mane: Burnt Orange

Coat: Red

Cutie mark.: Two crossed lit torches.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Blue eyes

Distinguishing Features: none

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Anything that has to do with fire. He's good with fire spells, manipulating fire, and is rather resistant to heat from being around flames a lot.

Weaknesses: Has less tolerance for the cold, and is only slightly stronger than an average unicorn. Other than that he's average.

Occupation: Traveling Entertainer

Gear: A cart full of all the props and tools he needs to perform. Keeps a dagger Dusk made for him just in case

History: Born and raised in Trottingham, he's the second oldest of four, his brother Dusk Hammer being the oldest. He always had a thing for fire, and his parents weren't surprised he got his cutie mark for having a talent in literally playing with it. He and Dusk often didn't get along. Dusk is known for his loyalty and also his stubbornness, which didn't go well with Torchlight's carefree attitude. They're practically opposites, except they both have a passion for their work and both respect the guard and the law. The two brothers especially fought over how they treated mares. Torchlight loved to sleep around, while Dusk was determined to remain celibate until he's married. Torchlight now travels around Equestria, entertaining those around him with his talent at using fire.

Personality: A carefree pony who isn't all too concerned on how many bits he earns as he works, although he earns a good amount thanks to his skills. He loves to party and he loves his mares. Family is still his highest priority. He often lets insults simply roll off of him, and sometimes he makes a joke out of them.

Current Home: His cart, which he pulls all around Equestria. Though he can always go back to his parent's home in Trottingham if he needs to.

Misc: Often seen as irresponsible, but he's actually isn't. He makes sure to never put the audience in danger. He's Dusk Hammer's younger brother.

Name: Silver Liner

Race: Unicorn

Age: 20

Mane: White

Coat: Silvery grey

Cutie mark.: A bar of silver

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Has green eyes

Distinguishing Features: none

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): He's more resistant to the cold, and specializes in ice magic, even though he works with metal.

Weaknesses: Physically, he just an average pony and has the same weaknesses as one. Has less of a resistance to high temperatures.

Occupation: Silversmith

Gear: Carries a dagger for self defense.

History: The third child of four, he was born and raised in Trottingham with his brothers, Dusk Hammer and Torchlight, and his little sister. Silver has always looked up to his eldest brother, and he's tried being like him in many aspects. At one point it led to obsession, and became envious of Dusk and everything he had. Dusk had to step in and give him some wise words. Since then he's found being himself was much better, though he still used Dusk as his role model. He soon learned he was much more of a social butterfly than Dusk ever was, and that got him a number of jobs for Trottingham nobles. Though he still doesn't have a place of his own, his workshop in his parent's home has suited him well enough.

Personality: He loves to have a good friend by his side, and also likes being with the mares. Still feels a little bit of envy towards his brother, and has become envious of others at times. At times he feels there's nothing special about him compared to Dusk. However, he is quite loyal to those he works for and with, but is more loyal to his friends and family than anything else. He feels a strong need to prove himself.

Current Home: His parent's home in Trottingham.

Name: Pastel Canvas

Race: Unicorn

Age: 17

Mane: Violet

Coat: Sky blue

Cutie mark.: A blank canvas on an easel.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Has violet eyes.

Distinguishing Features: none

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): She's a prodigy when it comes to painting and artwork, and has a distinct eye for detail, as well as being able to see the big picture. She's good with many forms of magic and is quite powerful, although she uses most of it to paint.

Weaknesses: Shy and reserved, and is physically weaker than the average unicorn. She has a hard time saying no to ponies, especially if saying no would possibly upset them. On top of this, she's somewhat frail. She's more likely to bruise if she's hurt.

Occupation: none currently, but wants to become a famous artist.

Gear: Often carries a sketchbook to save ideas.

History: She is the youngest of four, and was raised in Trottingham with her three brothers, Dusk Hammer, Torchlight, and Silver Liner. She was the only one of her siblings to be bullied in school, and that normally stopped as soon as they learned she was Dusk's brother. She never outright said that though, it just become common knowledge. Although, while Dusk was away serving in the Royal Guard, the bullying got worse. She became accustomed to ponies not treating her well, and used her painting as an outlet for her emotions. She kinda sees Dusk more as a second father than a brother due to how wise he's become, and often affectionately calls him "Big Bro."

Personality: Again, shy and reserved, she often prefers the company of herself and her painting. She often relies on others to protect her since she can't really do it herself. Due to this, she often avoids dangerous situations, and it makes her a bit of a pushover at times. As soon as she's with somepony she trusts, she becomes much more open and playful, and loves to tease about romance, plus the occasional bit of innuendo when Dusk isn't around.

Current Home: Her parent's home in Trottingham.

Name: Sonatine Lullaby

Race: Siren

Age: 22

Mane: Dark Blue

Coat: Forest Green

Cutie mark.: A simple crib

Extra details that aren't needed but are nice to add: Violet eyes.

Distinguishing Features: In pony form, she doesn't have anything that would make her stand out as a Siren, except for her gem. In siren form, she tends to be much more graceful than other sirens, and also is smaller than most sirens.

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): As a siren, she can breathe underwater and has the power to enrapture ponies and affect their emotions. She has a natural penchant for causing pleasant, heart-felt emotions.

Weaknesses: She's physically weaker than most ponies, and also more shy and timid than most. She often goes for days without feeding because she doesn't want to cause disharmony, which only makes her weaker. She also comes off as a little ditsy, as she doesn't always pay attention when she needs to. She constantly fusses over her disguise.

Occupation: Traveling singer.

Gear: Winter clothes when that time of year comes around. She also carries regular food for to help keep up her disguise.

History: Sonatine was orphaned at a young age. Since she was smaller than other sirens, she was often picked on. However, after learning her specialty in calming and pleasing tones, she became very well liked among those who were younger than her, and would often spend time with foals and infants.

Her move to Equestria was difficult due to a few mishaps with her pony disguise that led to her getting beaten up by paranoid ponies and thrown back into the sea numerous times. As such, she's wary around ponies and is constantly making sure her disguise is perfect. Being among the ponies provides enough food for her to survive, especially cities like Manehatten and Canterlot. So, she goes town to town, feeding of the disharmonious energy already there, then singing to promote harmony again.

Personality: She has a very soft spot for foals and infants, while shying away from adolescents and adults. Most jokes tend not to make sense to her, though she often gets that they were supposed to be jokes. She also has a distinct fear of cats and other felines. She has a short attention span, often meaning she misses important information when someone is trying to tell her something.

Current Home: Whatever hotel she can afford.

Name: Ash Longbow

Race: Pegasus

Age: 23

Mane:Forest Green

Coat: Tan

Cutie mark.: A drawn bow with an arrow.

Extra details that aren’t needed but are nice to add: Green eyes. Has a fairly long mane, but keeps it tied in a ponytail.

Distinguishing Features: none

Specialty (eg. special spells, unique powers etc): Ash is a fast fighter when he's in melee combat, and can outrun most opponents, both on the ground and in the air. He also has better than average sight, allowing him to aim at longer distances better. His ability to focus is excellent.

Weaknesses: Often is reckless and rushes into danger. He also is not a good multi-tasker, so he's not good at fighting multiple opponents at once. Has great difficulty sitting still for long periods of time with nothing to do, which leads him to be impatient if no one keeps him grounded or if he's not waiting for some sort of signal.

Occupation: Mercenary

Gear: Two retractable hoof blades, each about the size of a short sword. Also carries a compact crossbow and a longbow. Often wears leather armor.

History: Ash was born in Cloudsdale, and for the longest time wanted to follow in his father's steps and become a soldier. When he got his cutie mark after training with his father one day, he figured it was his destiny. However, from starting out in the local guard, he decided the life of a soldier might not be for him. He wanted something more exciting. So, he decided to try being a mercenary, and he loved it. He definitely found it more thrilling than standing guard all day. He never has had a lot of money, but working for the thrill is payment enough for him, so long as he still has money so he can eat and comfortably sleep.

Personality: He's very much a thrill seeker, leaping at the opportunity to see some action. Despite this, he can be very patient, albeit very reluctantly. Often can't sit still without something to keep him busy. He'll throw patience to the wind if waiting is not important. He's often sarcastic, for both his jokes and his insults. Otherwise, he can be very friendly, and is pretty much guaranteed to be listening to the conversation. If something else has his attention, it'll be obvious.

Current Home: Wherever, unless he decides to visit home in Cloudsdale.
